Martin Hayter Short was born in 1950 in Ontario and initially wanted to be a social worker but decided to pursue acting after he was cast in a Toronto production of the musical Godspell. He was encouraged to pursue comedy by his university classmates and made a breakthrough in 1984 when he joined TV sketch comedy show, Saturday Night Live. Since then he’s had an illustrious career with many roles in film, TV and theatre. He won a Tony Award in the Leading Actor in a Musical category for his role in the 1999 Broadway musical, Little Me. Stephen Glenn "Steve" Martin was born in Waco in 1945 and is an actor, comedian, writer, producer and musician. He made a name for himself in the 1960s as a writer for comedy and variety show television show The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. He went on to make frequent appearances on the Tonight Show and by the 1970s, he was selling sold out comedy shows all across the country. He’s received numerous accolades such as an American Comedy Award (for Lifetime Achievement in Comedy), a Drama Desk Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, 2 People’s Choice Awards, 5 Grammy Awards, and many more.
