TobyMac (birth name Kevin Michael McKeehan) was born in Fairfax (Virginia) and is a rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and author. His musical style is best described as a blend of contemporary Christian music (a genre that was created when people affected by the 1960s Jesus movement revival began to express themselves using a more contemporary style of music than the hymns, gospel and southern gospel music that was prevalent in the church at the time), Christian rock, Christian hip hop, and Christian pop. He’s had a stellar career with 7 studio albums (5 of which have been certified Gold), 2 live albums (1 of which has been certified Platinum), 14 music videos, 2 extended plays, and 30 singles. He’s received many accolades including an American Music Award, 2 Billboard Music Awards, 3 Grammy Awards, and 19 Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards. For King and Country was formed in Nashville in 2007 and is a Christian pop and alternative rock duo consisting of brothers Joel David and Luke James Smallbone. They’ve released 2 studio albums, 3 extended plays, 11 singles, and they’ve won 2 Grammy Awards (from 3 nominations) and 4 GMA Dove Awards.
